National secrets stolen?

Protestors who stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to protect President’s Trump re-election may have stolen national secrets. According to the Department of Justice, Trump supporters entered the private offices of Congress members. In those offices, laptops, dossiers and other sensitive information was available for looters.

Rioters are Being Identified

Fortunately for law enforcement, many rioters were not wearing face masks and security cameras were everywhere. The public is starting to identify the protestors. Some have already been fired from their jobs, others will face federal prosecution.

What will the protestors who stole sensitive information do with it? Loyal president Trump supporters are unlikely to sell national secrets to the Russians or Chinese. However, they might threaten to release information obtained from Democratic party Congress persons. They might do this to block legislation they don’t like.
